Open-sources have reported that a tanker was struck by a projectile fired by US forces whilst in the anchorage area off Kharg Island, Persian Gulf, Iranian waters (exact time and location not specified). According to Tasnim news agency, local sources confirmed that no casualties occurred and the vessel's personnel were being evacuated. The extent of the damage sustained by the vessel has not been confirmed at this time. Iranian authorities are investigating the incident.
