Open-source articles have reported that Ukraine conducted long-range strikes in the Caspian Sea, hitting what Kyiv described as vessels involved in military cargo shipments between Iran and Russia, as well as a Russian warship (exact time and location not specified). One of the vessels struck was an Iranian commercial ship, which exploded as a result of the attack, causing a fatality and several casualties. Iran has summoned Ukraine’s charge d’affaires in Tehran over the strike, protesting what it called a “hostile and criminal act”.
