US-Iran Military Strikes, Persian Gulf
Issued: 1 day, 10 hours ago
Date Reference Region Category Aggressors Source
2026-09-01 00:01:00 CWD Notification 001- (Sep 26) Indian Ocean OSINT Military Open source
Open-sources have reported that U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed a wave of strikes against Iranian military targets on 1 September 2026 (exact time not specified). U.S. forces struck Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets including radar systems, air defence sites, maritime assets and facilities, mine laying capabilities, and communications sites. Iranian media reported strikes on Sirik, Konarak, Bandar Abbas, Jask, Asaluyeh, Ahvaz, and Qeshm Island. CENTCOM stated that the strikes followed recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members. Iranian media reported that one strike hit a residence in Kuhestak as families gathered for a wedding, resulting in at least five people killed, including a child, and sixty-three wounded. Iran's state news agency IRNA, citing Khuzestan's deputy governor, reported that a further seven people were killed and eight wounded in U.S. missile attacks on three other locations in the province, bringing the total casualties to eleven killed. In response, the IRGC conducted retaliatory strikes against U.S. military facilities in the region. The IRGC claimed a ballistic missile attack on Camp Titin, a U.S. Marine Corps site near the Gulf of Aqaba in Jordan, and Prince Hassan airbase in Jordan, targeting hangars housing RQ-4 and MQ-9 drones. Jordan's military confirmed it had intercepted ten of thirteen missiles fired at the country, with the remainder falling on open ground. Iran's army also claimed drone attacks on radar installations and parts of Sheikh Isa airbase in Bahrain, where Tehran says U.S. forces are stationed. The IRGC later claimed a combined missile and drone attack on U.S. facilities in Erbil province, northern Iraq. Kuwait also reported that the country's air defences responded to hostile drones and missiles fired by Iran. U.S. officials stated there were no injuries or significant damage at Camp Titin. The exchange marks the heaviest fire between the U.S. and Iran in more than a month amid the ongoing standoff over the Strait of Hormuz.
