The UKMTO have reported that a bulk carrier has been attacked approximately 15nm north of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (exact position not specified). The Master reported that an unidentified projectile exploded in close proximity to the vessel. All crew are reported safe. The authorities are investigating. UPDATE: The UKMTO have conducted further investigations and after review have determined the intended target could not be conclusively identified.
