Open-sources have reported that a cargo vessel has been attacked by an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle whilst transiting the Black Sea (exact time, date and location not specified). The Turkish-operated vessel was en route from Gemlik, Türkiye to Novorossiysk, Russia when the attack occurred. The strike resulted in a fire breaking out onboard and has caused one crew member to be reported as missing, with eleven others rescued. The operating company has stated that the vessel and cargo may be considered beyond economical repair due to the extent of damage sustained. No party has claimed responsibility for the attack and the circumstances are still being clarified.
