Open-sources have reported that in early June 2026 (exact date not identified), two Ukrainian patrol boats patrolling off Odessa, Ukraine (exact position not specified), were hit by Russian Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). It is reported that the two patrol vessels were destroyed in the attacks, the fate of the crews remain unconfirmed from independent sources. Video footage, published on channels with documented ties to Russian military units, shows aerial platforms tracking small surface vessels at close range and impacting them in what appear to be direct hits.
