It has been reported that there has been a suspicious approach on a tanker whilst underway in the Red Sea. Up to seven persons onboard a high-speed craft approached to within 0.8 nm of the vessel, no weapons were sighted but the craft had a white flag. The alarm was sounded and the crew mustered. Gun-like objects were displayed on the tanker railings, upon seeing these the craft abandoned the approach. The vessel is continuing her transit and does not require any assistance.
