Open-sources have reported that a tanker has been intercepted and boarded by French authorities after transiting the Baltic Sea and around Denmark (exact time and position not specified). Reports state that the vessel is currently anchored Saint Nazaire, where French authorities searched the vessel before detaining at least two crewmembers, who are being transferred to France. The vessel is suspected to have been involved in recent drone activity over military bases and other critical sites in Denmark. Further open-source reports state that the tanker is linked to the "Russian Shadow Fleet” and is sanctioned by both the European Union and the United States. This comes less than a day after French authorities announced that the vessel was being investigated for "serious offenses" against French and European Security.
