The UKMTO have received a report from the Master of a vessel, stating that a loud explosion occurred in close proximity to the vessel followed by smoke in the water, whilst drifting approximately 134nm East-southeast of Muscat, Oman. The vessel and crew are reported safe. Clearwater have received further information confirming that the vessel reporting the incident was a Malta-flagged bulk carrier and that the explosion was caused by an unidentified aerial projectile. The vessel has moved to a new drifting position.
