| Open-sources have reported that U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) completed another round of strikes against Iran at 01:00 UTC on 21 July 2026. U.S. forces struck Iranian military command centres, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defence systems to degrade Iran's ability to continue attacking commercial vessels flowing through the Strait of Hormuz. In response, Iran conducted retaliatory strikes against multiple U.S. military facilities in the region (exact times and positions not specified). The Iranian army targeted the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain with drones, according to state news agency Fars. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported targeting Amazon infrastructure in Bahrain and claimed its aerospace force destroyed a missile defence radar system and an F-15 fighter jet at an unspecified military base. Iran's army also claimed strikes on three U.S. installations in Kuwait using kamikaze drones: Camp Arifjan, Camp Al-Adiri, and Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base. Jordan reported neutralising five incoming Iranian drones. There was no official confirmation from Bahrain regarding the reported strikes. | |||||
