The UKMTO has reported that a vessel has been struck approximately 17nm northwest of Mina Saqr, United Arab Emirates (Exact location not specified). Reports state the Company Security Officer reported that the vessel been struck by an unknown projectile causing a fire, and that the fire has been extinguished and the vessel intends to continue on its voyage. Authorities are continuing to investigate. Further information has been received confirming the vessel involved was a Gibraltar-flagged oil tanker.
