The Master of a Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier has reported sighting a missile whilst underway approximately 89nm West-southwest of Jizan, Saudi Arabia. The Master reported sighting the missile followed by an aircraft, the missile then appeared to splash into the ocean followed by a trail of black smoke approximately 7nm from the bulk carrier. All vessels operating in the area should maintain increased vigilance and report any incidents.
