It has been reported that there has been a robbery on board an oil platform operating in the Bay of Campeche, Mexico. It is reported that pirates armed with rifles approached and boarded the habitation complex of the oil platform, firing their weapons into the air to scare personnel on board. The perpetrators then stole a number of self-contained breathing apparatus before fleeing the area. No injuries to the crew or personnel on board have been reported. UPDATE: Further information has been announced by the Tabasco State Attorney General's Office that following an investigation, two of the perpetrators have been arrested, and thirty self-contained breathing apparatus had been recovered.
