Open-sources have reported that Ukrainian forces struck a Russian Project 12150 Mangust high-speed patrol boat in Kozacha Bay, Sevastopol, Crimea, during operations conducted on overnight 8 September 2026 and into 9 September 2026 (exact time not specified). Ukraine's General Staff confirmed the strike as part of coordinated attacks targeting Russian military infrastructure across temporarily occupied territories. The extent of damage to the patrol vessel is currently being assessed. Additional Ukrainian strikes during the same period targeted drone storage and launch facilities near Donetsk, reconnaissance antenna complexes in Olenivka and Vitino in Crimea, and ammunition depots in Dokuchaievsk, Fashchivka, and Selydove across occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
