| The UKMTO have been informed from a third-party that a vessel has been attacked whilst at anchor approximately 24nm northwest of Port Rashid, UAE (exact position not specified). The Master of a tanker observed another vessel listing at its anchorage, with indications of water ingress consistent with damage from a projectile strike. The nature of the projectile remains unconfirmed. The authorities are investigating. UPDATE: Open-sources have reported that the vessel involved in the incident was a Gibraltar-flagged tanker. It has been further reported that there has been one fatality as a result of the incident and another crew member remains missing. | |||||
