It has been reported that an oil tanker has been attacked whilst transiting approximately 9nm Northeast of Ash Shishah, Oman. The Master reported that the vessel was struck by an unknown projectile, causing damage to the engine room and disabling the vessel. All crew are reported as safe. The environmental impact is unknown at the time of report. The authorities are investigating.
