Open-sources have reported that two tankers were struck by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles whilst loading at the Single Point Mooring 1 (SPM-1), Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal, Novorossiysk, Black Sea on 19 July 2026 (exact time and position not specified). The Liberia-flagged tanker sustained a fire onboard following the drone strike. The crew, working alongside emergency response forces from the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, successfully extinguished the fire. The Marshall Islands-flagged tanker was also struck during the attack but no serious damage has been reported. The Caspian Pipeline Consortium confirmed that loading operations were suspended for several hours whilst a damage assessment was undertaken.
