The UKMTO have reported that a tanker has been struck by an unknown projectile whilst underway approximately 8nm Northeast of Limah, Oman. Multiple reports have been received via VHF Channel 16 from the vessel reporting the strike. Authorities are investigating. Vessels are advised to transit the area with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO. UPDATE: The Company Security Officer has informed the UKMTO that the crew are currently embarked on a lifeboat after abandoning the vessel and that no environmental impact has been reported.
