Open-sources have reported that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) detained a Comoros-flagged containership in the Strait of Hormuz (exact time and position not specified). The Fars News Agency stated that the vessel was detained due to alleged violations of transit laws and regulations. The IRGC also reported that four oil tankers, allegedly directed by U.S. military forces, attempted to exit the Strait of Hormuz on the same day. One tanker was reportedly targeted and stopped, while three other vessels turned back. The containership is currently reported to be located near North Hormuz Island.
