The UKMTO have reported an incident 105 NM Northeast of Aden, Yemen (exact position not specified). A vessel reported being approached to within four meters and fired upon by two skiffs with an unknown number of armed persons on board. The vessel deployed its security team and returned fire. The suspect vessels have now disengaged and moved away to over 4 NM from the vessel. The crew are safe. UKMTO are continuing to investigate, mariners are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity.
