It has been reported that there has been a robbery onboard a Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier whilst underway in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. Duty crew sighted five perpetrators, one of whom was armed with a knife in the engine room, which resulted in the robbers escaping. The Captain confirmed that all the crew were safe and accounted for, and that a mobile phone had been stolen. The vessel did not require any assistance is continuing her voyage to Vietnam.
