Open-sources have reported that an Iranian flagged cargo vessel has sunk while transiting the Caspian Sea (Exact time and location not specified). It has been reported that the vessel launched a distressed call and Turkmenistan’s coastal services came to the rescue of fourteen crew members. All fourteen crew reportedly citizens of Iran and India, were successfully rescued. Authorities are continuing to investigate.
