Open source media has reported that a drone strike took place against the port of Izmail during the night of November 16th into the early hours of November 17th. An number of drones struck the port, reportedly damaging port infrastructure, several berthed civilian vessels and damaging a laden LPG tanker, setting it ablaze, with the crew evacuating the vessel. Residents of the nearby Romanian village of Plauru, located on the Danube river, were evacuated by authorities while first responders contained the situation. Exact damage to port infrastructure is unconfirmed but 3 Ukrainian civilians are reported to have been killed in the strike. UPDATE: Further reports state that the fire onboard the LPG tanker has been extinguished, all sixteen crewmembers are safe, two-thirds of the LPG remains onboard, and that firefighters are cooling the vessel by spraying water.
