It has been reported by the UKMTO that a vessel has been attacked approximately 64nm Northwest of Hodeidah, Yemen (exact position not specified). The authorities are currently investigating. UPDATE 1: Clearwater have been able to confirm that the vessel involved is a Panama-flagged tanker. There have been a series of four attacks from aerial projectiles, the first occurred at 21:25 UTC on 30th September, this was followed by another at 22:25 UTC. The next attack occurred at 01:40 UTC today with the fourth at 02:53 UTC. Each attack is reported to have resulted in splashes and explosions near the tanker, the closest being within 5 metres. The vessel is not currently reported to have sustained any damage, the crew are safe, and the vessel is proceeding to its next port of call. UPDATE 2: The Master has reported to the UKMTO that at 05:00 UTC, the vessel was hit by an Unmanned Surface Vessel which has punctured the number 6 port ballast tank. UPDATE 3: The Master has informed the UKMTO that the vessel is continuing to its next port of call.
