| It has been reported that there has been a robbery onboard an Indonesian-flagged tug while towing a barge off the coast of Tanjung Malatayur, Indonesia. Crew observed five perpetrators approach the tug in a small craft. Four robbers armed with firearms and sharp weapons boarded the barge, took control of tug, and restrained the crew in the toilet. For up to ten hours, the thieves stole twenty-one phones, 17,200,000 Rupiah in cash, and navigational equipment. They then damaged the communication and navigation systems. | |||||
