It has been reported by the UKMTO that a vessel has been attacked 83nm Southwest of Hodeidah, Yemen. The authorities are investigating. UPDATE: The UKMTO have received further information stating that the nature of the attack was a Waterborne Improvised Explosive Device. The vessel and crew are reported as safe and the vessel is proceeding to its next port of call. Clearwater have also received information that the vessel involved was a Malta-flagged bulk carrier and that the Waterborne Improvised Explosive Device exploded close to the vessels hull causing minor damage.
