| The UKMTO have received a report from the Master of a vessel, that an attack occurred whilst underway 60nm Northwest of Hodeidah, Yemen (exact location not specified). Three small boats approached on the vessel's Port side and shots were exchanged between the armed security team onboard and the perpetrators on the small boats. UPDATE: US helicopters responding to the distress call from the Singapore-flagged container vessel, came under fire from the small boats and subsequently returned fire. This resulted in the sinking of three of the small boats, killing their crews. The fourth boat fled the area. There was no damage to US personnel or equipment. | |||||
