Open-sources have reported that a cargo vessel was struck by an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle whilst transiting the Black Sea en route to Trabzon, Türkiye (exact time and location not specified). The Comoros-flagged vessel, operated by Azov Shipping with a Turkish operator, was transiting off Novorossiysk, Russia when the attack occurred. The international crew consisted of ten Azerbaijani citizens and one Georgian citizen. According to official reports from relevant seafarer assistance services, no crew members were injured in the strike. Despite sustaining damage, the vessel maintained its speed and continued on its route. The Turkish Ministry of Transport had previously issued an official warning to shipping companies regarding security risks in these waters.
