Open-sources have reported that a Guinea Bissau-flagged general cargo vessel was struck by a Russian Unmanned Aerial Vehicle whilst conducting loading operations at the port of Odesa, Ukraine (exact time not specified). The drone strike sparked a fire and caused significant damage to the vessel's accommodation area, stern, upper deck, and a crew cabin. One crew member has been reported injured. The fire was extinguished by the vessel's crew with assistance from port firefighting teams. Fire-control and damage-containment operations were conducted, with no pollution reported in surrounding waters. The Russian Defence Ministry stated that the attack was targeting military equipment and infrastructure.
