Open-sources have reported that U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) completed the eleventh consecutive evening of strikes against Iran at 00:15 UTC on 22 July 2026. CENTCOM forces targeted Iranian military operations centres, maritime capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, and military logistics infrastructure to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media reported U.S. strikes on multiple Iranian locations including Bushehr, Sirik, Behbahan, Omidiyeh in Khuzestan province, and a military site on the outskirts of Tabriz in northwestern Iran. In response, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) reported conducting retaliatory strikes against U.S. military facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan (exact times not specified). The IRGC claimed its aerospace forces targeted U.S. air defence systems, radar facilities, communications infrastructure, and other military assets. The IRGC stated the attacks were carried out in retaliation for recent U.S. strikes and were intended to pave the way for broader missile and drone operations against U.S. military targets in the region. Iran's military also claimed it struck U.S. military targets at Camp Doha in Kuwait and Amazon's central data infrastructure in Bahrain, destroying a long-range radar site, a communications centre, satellite receiving systems, a missile defence radar, and an MQ-9 drone hangar.
