It has been reported that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has struck a Liberian-flagged tanker at Basra oil terminal (exact time not specified). The vessel has reportedly not sustained any damage and no crew injuries have been reported. UPDATE: Iraq's State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) has confirmed the incident, stating that it was not a direct attack on the terminal or the vessel. It has been reported that the vessel was towed outside the port alongside another tanker that had been anchored as a precautionary measure. Officials have not identified the drone's origin, and no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
