It has been reported that there has been an attack on a container ship 9nm East of Oman (exact position not specified). The vessel has sustained damage to the rear which has caused a fire onboard. UPDATE 1: The UKMTO have issued further information informing that the crew of the vessel has abandoned ship and are currently embarked on a lifeboat. UPDATE 2: The CSO has reported to the UKMTO that the crew have been rescued by local authorities.
