The UKMTO have reported that a tanker has been struck by an unidentified projectile whilst transiting the Strait of Hormuz (exact location not specified). The Master reported that the vessel sustained damage to the bridge. All crew are reported safe and no environmental damage has been reported at present. Authorities are investigating. UPDATE: It has been reported that a crude oil tanker was struck by a drone on the starboard bridge wing at approximately 08:30 UTC on 27 June 2026, approximately 22NM off Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, in the Strait of Hormuz (exact position not specified).
