It has been reported that there has been an attempted robbery on a bulk carrier whilst underway in the Singapore Strait. Duty crew noticed a robber armed with knives in the engine room workshop. The robber reportedly threatened the crew who then retreated the engine control room and informed the bridge. On seeing the crew response, the robber escaped. A search was conducted and all the ship's items were accounted for and all crew reported safe.
