It has been reported that there has been an attempted robbery onboard a Liberia-flagged bulk carrier whilst underway in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. Four perpetrators armed with knives were seen by duty crew in the steering gear room. The alarm was raised, crew mustered, and vessel searched. No robbers were spotted and nothing had been reported missing. One crewman had received a minor injury to the head. The vessel continued her voyage to Singapore.
