It has been reported that there has been a robbery on a Panama-flagged tanker while anchored at Takoradi Anchorage, Ghana. The perpetrators had gained access to the vessel by climbing up the anchor chain and broke the hose pipe guard. When detected by the watchkeepers, the robbers jumped overboard and escaped. After an inspection, it was discovered that the padlock on the bosun's store had been destroyed and items of ship's equipment had been stolen. The crew have been reported as safe.
