It has been reported that a robbery has occurred on a bulk carrier, whilst transiting the Singapore Strait, Singapore. It is reported that four robbers, armed with knives, boarded the vessel whilst underway. The perpetrators stole ship's engine spares before escaping. The vessel reported the incident to the Vessel Traffic Information System, where it was then escorted to anchorage. Upon arrival at anchorage, the Singapore Coast Guard boarded the vessel for investigation. All crew members have since reported to be safe.
