It has been reported that there has been an attempted robbery on a Cyprus-flagged bulk carrier while underway in the Eastbound Lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme, Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. Two perpetrators armed with knives were observed on the accommodation deck. The alarm was raised, and a search of the vessel was conducted. All crew have been reported as safe, and nothing was reported stolen. The vessel is continuing to her next port of call, Singapore where the authorities will board to conduct an inspection.
