The MDAT-GoG have received a report from a Company Security Officer stating that a Netherlands-flagged cargo vessel has been attacked and boarded whilst underway, approximately 75nm Northwest of Bata, Equatorial Guinea. Clearwater have also received initial information that the crew have been able to retreat to the citadel. UPDATE 1: It has been reported that Coalition Forces have boarded the vessel and conducted a search, confirming the perpetrators have left the vessel and that all crew are safe. The cargo vessel is currently being escorted North by a security vessel. UPDATE 2: It has been reported that the Netherlands flagged cargo vessel has arrived and is now secure in Malabo harbour. UPDATE 3: The IMB have received further information stating that once onboard, the armed pirates opened fire and made their way to the bridge and then the Citadel. The pirates then made several unsuccessful attempts to breach the citadel before escaping. The reports states that the vessel sustained some damage.
