| The UKMTO have received a report from the Master of a vessel that they were approached whilst underway, approximately 332nm East of Mogadishu, Somalia (exact position not specified). Four persons onboard a small craft that was launched from a mother vessel, approximately 5nm East of the vessel, approached and came to within 2nm. It is reported that the armed security team onboard fired warning shots which resulted in the small craft returning to the mother vessel. UPDATE: The IMB have reported that the perpetrators were armed with guns and opened fire towards the vessel, the small craft was described as having a grey and white hull. Clearwater have also been able to confirm that the vessel involved was a Cayman Islands-flagged tanker. | |||||
