It has been reported that there has been an attempted robbery onboard a Cyprus-flagged bulk carrier while underway in the Eastbound Lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme of the Phillip Channel. Reports state that the crew spotted two perpetrators armed with knives in the engine room, who escaped after being seen. All crew have been reported as safe, and nothing was reported stolen. The vessel is continuing to her next port of call, Singapore.
