The MDAT GoG has issued an advisory stating that there is an increased threat of piracy in the Gulf of Guinea, and that a Pirate Action Group (PAG) is reported to be operating in the following area: a. 06°13’36N 001°51’24E b. 06°16’22N 002°58’31E c. 04°58’26N 002°25’10E d. 05°05’31N 003°09’55E The MDAT-GoG advisory is active for a 48 hour period from 1430 UTC on 27/07/2025; should the active period be extended, an update to the advisory will be released. Vessels transiting this area are advised to do so with caution and increased vigilance, and any suspicious activity is reported to Clearwater Dynamics and the MDAT GoG.
