| It has been reported that an attempted robbery on an Antigua Barbuda-flagged offshore supply vessel whilst anchored approximately 2.5nm offshore of Vakalapudi Lighthouse, Kakinada, India (exact time not specified). Duty crew spotted five robbers boarding the vessel from a fishing boat. The alarm was raised and the Indian Coast Guard were alerted, who dispatched a patrol craft to the location. Upon sighting the Coast Guard vessel, the perpetrators attempted to escape but were detained after a short pursuit. The vessel and crew were reported as safe. | |||||
