Open source reports that following US attacks on Iranian based nuclear facilities the threat to US military and commercial shipping interests in the Red Sea, Bab-Al-Mandeb Strait and Gulf of Aden has risen significantly. The Houthi Militants have been quoted in a press release as saying "Accordingly if the US involves in an attack and aggression against Iran with the Israeli enemy, the armed forces will target its ships and warships in the Red Sea." US associated shipping includes but is not limited to flag state, owner, operator, charter or cargo.
