It has been reported that there has been an attempted robbery on a Cyprus-flagged cargo vessel while transiting the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. Duty crew reported seeing five robbers in the vessels engine room and sounded the alarm, causing the perpetrators to escape empty handed. All crew were reported as safe and the vessel continued on to her next port of call in Singapore.
