It has been reported that a robbery took place on board a Cyprus-flagged bulk carrier whilst underway in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. The crew reported sighting six robbers armed with knives in the engine room which resulted in the perpetrators escaping empty-handed. Following the incident, the Master reported that all crew were safe, the vessel did not require assistance and is continuing to her next port of call in Vietnam.
