It has been reported that an attempted robbery took place upon a Singapore-flagged bulk carrier whilst underway in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. The crew sighted six robbers on board a small boat and one perpetrator attempting to board their vessel. The ship sounded the alarm, causing the perpetrators to flee. The Master reported all crew as safe, the vessel has not requested any assistance and will continue to her next port of call in Singapore.
