It has been reported that two passenger boats, transporting goods, were taken by armed men, whilst transiting between Cawthorne Channel and Bonny Island (exact time not specified). It is reported that the pilot and passengers were chased away. Further, it was then reported that the perpetrators targeted a third passenger boat whilst transiting between Degema and Bile, Isaka River, Rivers State Waterways (exact time also not specified). The perpetrators kidnapped twelve passengers and the pilot. UPDATE: It has been reported that the perpetrators have demanded a 100 million Nigerian Naira ransom for the release of the captives.
