| It has been reported by the MDAT-GoG that a Maltese-flagged bulk carrier was involved in a suspicious approach approximately 37.2nm off Libreville, Gabon. Four perpetrators approached the bulk carrier on a motorboat. Despite verbal warnings from the armed security team, the motorboat continued its approach. The security team then fired warning shots into the water near the craft which caused the boat to depart the area. All the crew are safe, no damage to the vessel was reported, and the bulk carrier continued her voyage. | |||||
