It has been reported that there has been an attempted robbery onboard a Malta-flagged bulk carrier while underway in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. One perpetrator boarded the vessel from the aft mooring station, however, was unable to enter the engine room, accommodation block, engine room, or the deck storerooms as they were all locked. The alarm was raised which caused him to flee the vessel empty-handed. All crew have been reported as safe, the vessel did not require any assistance, and the vessel continued her voyage to Singapore.
