It has been reported that there has been an attempted robbery onboard a Singaporean-flagged container ship while underway in the Eastbound Lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme, Singapore Strait. Crewmembers observed four perpetrators at the stern and immediately raised the vessel's alarm. The Master reported that all crew were safe and accounted for. The container ship did not require any assistance from the authorities and continued her transit to Malaysia. UPDATE: The IMB received further information stating that the perpetrators were armed with a gun and attempted to enter the accommodation by firing at a watertight door.
